34 (A)It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and [a]putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert. 35 Therefore, (B)stay alert—for you do not know when the [b]master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or (C)when the rooster crows, or (D)in the morning— 36 so that he does not come suddenly and find you (E)asleep.
